About us

Waste Warriors Society seeks to empower and enable youth in Dehradun to take pro-environment actions and form a self-reliant youth-driven community of future change makers that work towards mitigating climate change and resource pollution caused by waste dumping and burning. Aligned with the LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) campaign launched by NiTi Aayog in 2021, Waste Warriors Society seeks to create Pro-Planet People by targeting youth through direct action initiatives and enabling actions by creating self-reliant models.

PNB Housing Finance aims to reach the marginalised communities and deliver projects that provides solutions for their betterment and growth yielding maximum impact to the beneficiaries. Pehel Foundation, CSR arm of PNB Housing Finance acts as the medium to implement and strengthen CSR programs designed in the same direction. It symbolizes our continuous ‘attempt’ and ‘initiative’ towards ensuring growth and welfare of underserved sections of society. Our overarching aim is maximising reach to improve more and more lives.

In FY 2019-20, the PNB Housing Finance Limited has established ‘Pehel Foundation’. It is the medium to implement and strengthen CSR programs. I've known waste warriors for quite a long time. I'm excited to be a part of it, and I'm looking forward to having a good time as well as learning. It was truly great; it was my first time engaging in something like this; our seniors had previously engaged with waste warriors, such as at Gurukul or Harrawala, but this was our first event. Learnings: We have acquired so much from the event, we had our methods and ideas, and now we are aiming to improve our ideas after listening to different opinions.

IMS College

It was a very nice experience; we planned many events, one of which was about waste; this is a platform where we can include our vision; we're delighted it's a month-long initiative, not just a day. It provides us with numerous opportunities, such as club activities. It may be a setback for us since we will learn where we are lacking. We are thrilled to be a part of this project.
