Green Gurukul 2023
Competition Overview
Welcome to Green Gurukul, where students from different schools in Dehradun come together for a friendly competition with a powerful purpose. This event, organized as part of Project YUWA by Waste Warriors Society and supported by Pehel Foundation, the CSR arm of PNB Housing Finance Limited, is not just about winning; it’s about making a real impact on our environment.
Starting from December 1, 2023, and wrapping up on December 21, 2023, Green Gurukul is all about encouraging students to step up and champion solid waste management and climate-friendly practices. It’s not your typical competition; it’s a chance for students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills through activities carefully designed to be good for the planet.
Aligned with NiTi Aayog’s LiFE campaign launched in 2021, Green Gurukul is part of a bigger mission by Waste Warriors Society. The aim? To turn today’s youth into Pro-Planet People by getting them involved in hands-on initiatives. It’s not just about talking the talk; it’s about taking action and creating models that last.
Each participating team will have a shot at a maximum of 2500 points, including some bonus activities. The tasks? Well, they’re all about waste management and understanding climate change better. But don’t worry; we’ll make sure it’s all fair and square. Every team gets a standardized task list with guidelines, submission methods, and a point system to keep things consistent.
And here’s the exciting part – your progress won’t be a mystery. A live points table will be updated every week, so you can see how you’re doing compared to other teams.
Theme For The Competetion
Green Gurukul isn’t just a competition; it’s a chance for young minds to learn, grow, and make a difference. We’re not just creating waste warriors; we’re shaping a future where everyone cares for the planet. So, get ready to dive in, have fun, and show us what you’ve got!
The journey starts on December 1st, and we can’t wait to see you in action In total, participating teams can accumulate a maximum of 2500 points, including bonus activities. The tasks completed by the teams will be evaluated through a set of evaluation criteria by the Jury, on the basis of which, respective points will be allotted. The teams will be able to check their score through a live points table that will be updated on a weekly basis.
